Hussmann Selects Pele-Sol
For Business Process Expertise
OLEAN, New York, March 18, 2004 -- Pele-Sol
Engineered Solutions has been selected by IR Hussmann, an IR
Ingersoll-Rand business, to provide business process automation tools
and services to the maker of merchandising and refrigeration equipment
for the commercial food industry.
The Pele-SystemTM is a proprietary
software system designed by Pele-Sol to reduce cycle times and eliminate
costly rework for manufacturers of engineer-to-order (ETO) products by
configuring the order at the proposal stage. Its original
application was in the ETO centrifugal compressor industry.
Hussmann is a world leader in
manufacturing, installing and servicing equipment for supermarkets,
convenience and specialty stores, as well as commercial and industrial
applications such as cold storage warehouses and processing plants.
Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the company operates 15 manufacturing
facilities, and serves customers in more than 80 countries worldwide.
"This order is significant
because it shows that Pele-System software can be applied to a wide
range of engineered products," said Allan Kidd, director of Pele-Sol.
Many companies engineer their products once to sell, and then engineer
them again to build. What results is often a product that can't be
built, or wastes precious time and resources being redesigned.
